Modifying Settings Using the Reporting Configurator

The minimum number of settings that are required to run FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Reporting are accessible through the Reporting Configurator that appears during the Reporting installation. You can run the Reporting Configurator after installation to configure the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Reporting application when it is not running.

To use the Reporting Configurator to change FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Reporting settings:

  1. Stop FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Reporting.
    • To stop Reporting from the command line, navigate to the Reporting installation location, then type the command: flexnet stop
    • If you configured Reporting to run as a Windows service, you can stop the service from the Windows Services pane.
  2. Open a Command Prompt window (if not already open) and change to reporting_install_directory.
  3. Type the command: flexnet site
    • The Reporting Configurator window appears.
  4. Modify the settings you want to change.
  5. Click Save to save the settings to reporting_install_directory/config/site.properties. The Reporting Configurator closes and the new settings are merged into a recreated site directory.
  6. Restart FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Reporting.
    • To start Reporting from the command line, navigate to the Admin installation location, then type the command: flexnet start
    • If you configured Reporting to run as a Windows service, you can start the service from the Windows Services pane.
