Creating Tiers

You can create tiers manually using the Add Tiers page in the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications user interface, or by importing an XML file (either from the user interface or from the command line).

You can create tiers in the following ways:

• Importing XML Tier Definitions Using the User Interface

• Importing XML Tier Definitions Using the Command Line

• Adding Tiers Using the Add Tier page

To create a tier, you provide a name for the tier, then add features to the tier. A feature can belong to only one tier.
