Installation Task Checklist
The installation process requires that various components be installed and configured. The Installation task checklist table lists the installation tasks and the role, permission, and/or expertise required to carry out the tasks.

| Create or select operating system user accounts for users who start the database server (who may be the users that start its Windows service), start the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin and Reporting installers, and start the Flexera Analytics installer. | Configure a database server using the guidelines described in Configuring Database Servers for FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications. | Test license-server management by starting and stopping a license server. To learn how to test stopping and starting a license server, see Testing the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Installation.
