Creating Report Configurations
You can create a new, customized report configuration based on a FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications report type.
To create a new report configuration:
- From the
Reporting
tab, under Classic Reporting , click Report Configurations . This displays the Report Configurations page. - From the Report Types list in the upper-right corner, select the report type on which you want to base this report configuration and click
Create
. - In the Configuration Name field on the Naming page, provide a unique name for the report configuration. Without a unique name, the report configuration cannot be saved.
- Depending on which report type you choose, between two and six definition pages guide you through the process of creating a report configuration.
- At any time during the process, you can:
- click
Finish
to save your report configuration. or - click Finish & Run to save your report configuration and run the report.
- click
You can later edit your report configuration or** run a report** based on the configuration.
In addition to creating a new report configuration, you can:
- Use a sample report configuration as it is.
- **Import **a previously created report configuration and use its parameters.
You can also invoke post processing for your reports directly from FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications.
