Adding Contract Pools

To add a contract pool:

From the Planner tab, under Contracts , click Contracts .
On the Contract Summary page, click the name of the contract to which you want to add a contract pool.
From the Pools tab, click Add Contract Pool.
On the Add Contract Pool page, specify the contract pool settings. Required settings are identified by a red asterisk (*).

Setting	Description
Pool Name	Unique name for the contract pool.
Used for	Specify whether the licenses in the contract pool can be used for Production work or only for Testing and Development.
Shareable Type	Specify how widely the licenses in the contract pool can be shared. FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications does not restrict license usage based on this setting. Not Shareable—The license can be used only on the local network; typically a single site. Regionally Shareable—The license can be shared within a specified region; for example, within a narrow range of time zones, within a country, or on a continent. Globally Shareable—The license can be shared without restriction to location. A vendor may charge more for this type of license.
Licensing Model	Specify the licensing model used for this contract pool. Perpetual—Licenses have no expiration date. This model typically requires an initial payment to purchase the licenses and an annual maintenance fee. Time Based—Licenses have a specified expiration date. This model requires an annual license access fee that includes maintenance for the product.
Discount Percent	For perpetual licensing models only: The percentage reduction in list price for product licenses in the contract pool.
Uplift Percent	For perpetual licensing models only: The percentage increase in discounted price for product licenses in the contract pool.
Annual Maintenance or Access Fee Percent	Percentage of list price paid to the software vendor each year for each product license in the contract pool. This is known as annual maintenance for perpetual license models and as an annual access fee for time-based license models.
Currency	USD. Contract pool currency is specified in US dollars.
Initial Value	The remix ceiling amount for this contract pool.
Remixable Percent	Percentage of the contract pool’s initial value that can be changed during a remix. A value of 0 indicates that this contract pool is not remixable. This value is not applicable for renewals.
Revisions Per Year	Number of times the contract pool can be remixed each year, expressed as an integer.
Next Plan Date	The date, specified as `mm/dd/yyyy` , on which the contract pool can next be remixed.
Organization	All product licenses in the contract pool will be distributed to the selected organizational unit. This distribution specification can be used for peak usage and chargeback reporting. See Product Usage Reports for more information about reports that provide investment planning information.
Geography	Geographic area for this contract pool; for example, Midwest.
Site	Site for this contract pool; for example, Chicago or Milwaukee.
Notes	Notes about the contract pool.

Click Save.
